“but, but, but…”
Shut the “but” up! It’s your brain’s defense mechanism to help you avoid pain… but it will keep you broke!
Suck it up buttercup, and let the brain pain push you to attain the most badass lifestyle that people think you are insane.

Want to read the transcript? Here ya go…

So what’s the real reason most people are broke in the world?

It’s a controversial subject. I’m here in my other library. I was picking up this “50 Success Classics,” just quotes by great people throughout history. Pardon the hair, it’s early in the morning. But you know, most of us operate under what I call a pain avoiding delusion, right? It’s one of the 25 cognitive biases. And when it comes to the subject of money, nothing brings out delusion more. So one of the common things you’ll hear people blame, I had somebody, I was talking with somebody the other day that was broke, and she said you know, but it’s not my fault. And there’s a little bit of truth to that. There’s a little bit of truth that problems in the world come from government and taxes, that’s one of the things you’re going to hear. You know? The government’s messing things up. There was the State of the Union speech the other day by the President of the United States, and he talks about many things. And a lot of those goals are noble. I’m not knocking completely the place of government, but I want to put it in perspective by reading you something that Benjamin Franklin said many years ago, in the 1700’s.

Somebody came to him and said, the taxes are too high. That’s why I’m not making any money. And he says, “The taxes are indeed very heavy, and if those laid on by the government were the only ones we had to pay, we might more easily discharge them. But we have many others (talking about taxes) and much more grievous to some of us. We are taxed twice by our idleness, three times by our pride and four times as much by our folly. And from these taxes, the commissioners cannot ease or deliver us by allowing an abatement.”

What his point is, is he was a man who mastered not only getting over pain avoiding delusion, but also the mis-waiting bias. Most of us miss prioritize those things that are actually holding us back in life. The main thing holding back the world is not government taxes. Look, if you change the tax rate, I’m reading here Mankiw, the famous Harvard professor, his book on economics. For sure, taxes matter. They cause shifts in demand curves and shifts in supply. But you know what will have the biggest bang for the buck? Optimized brains in 7.3 billion people around the world. That trumps everything.

What keeps us from having an optimized brain? Well, he says right here, we’re taxed doubly worse than the government tax by our own laziness, by our own idleness. He says we’re taxed three times as much by our pride. If you’re in the 67 steps, what’s one of the foundational steps? I talked about it in my TEDX talk, which is out now. Hopefully you’ve seen it. I talk about Sam Walton, who became the wealthiest businessman of our generation. He did it by being the most humble. See, we’re taxed three times as much, not by the government income tax, not by Social Security tax, not by FICA tax, not be estate planning tax, all these taxes that people are talking about. We’re taxes by the latent and unused human potential within your brain. That’s more powerful than any supercomputer that’s out there right now, even if your IQ is not Einstein’s.

It says we’re taxed four times as much by our folly. What’s our folly? Making too many mistakes because we don’t listen. Because we’re too lazy or we are too proud to realize the answers aren’t always within. See these books behind me? These aren’t something I brag about. These are things I want to keep me from my folly. I want to be not idle, not lazy. Every morning I wake up, you know, people talk about lifting weights. Lift weights for your brain. Your brain is a muscle. I mean, technically it’s not a muscle, but it is a part of your body, a physical part of your body that can be worked out. We know this. All scientists would agree. That’s why people, my grandma, you know, she’s 96 and very sharp. Now some of that’s good fate and good genes, but some of it she’s been playing backgammon and chess her whole life. Keep the brain stimulated. Movement of the brain. These are the things that you must work on first.

Like Steven Covey talks about in “Seven Habits of Highly Unsuccessful People.” Focus on the things you can control. Unless you are a politician, and I hope some of you become politicians and change government for better, but for most of us who are not within the realm of politics, we cannot control those things except with a vote. And a vote is good, but it’s not nearly as good as voting with your feet, voting by what you do.

Sit yourself in a room. Read more. Don’t be proud, don’t be lazy, don’t have a lot of folly. These are the things that will bring you poverty. But if you invert them, these are the things that when you remove them will bring you wealth, much more wealth than any government cut in capital gains or income tax, OK? So my question is, what’s an example of an area where you’ve been too idle, too proud or had too much folly? OK? I’m going to be talking about this more. Stay tuned tomorrow. I’m putting these out every day.

So make sure you subscribe here so you get the latest updates, alright?

Talk to you soon.

There are ten important rules to money.

I learned some of these the hard way, and some of them I learned easier, people taught me and I was smart enough to listen. I wasn’t always smart enough, but let me give you a few of these rules. Maybe they’ll help you out.

Number one, you have to do the opposite.

When most people are putting money out, you have to be pulling money in, and when most people are pulling money in, you got to be putting it out. This contrarian approach is probably the fundamental rule to money.

I’ll give you a little example.

I was at the bookstore, Barnes & Noble, with my buddy, and I said to him, I said, “You should buy this book.”

It was a good book that I’ve read before.

He picked it up, a big thick book, we walked down to the checkout, and when he saw the price when the lady was checking him out, it was I think 120 bucks. And he was like, dude, I ain’t spending 120 bucks on a book. So he wanted to pull his money back in instead of putting it out.

And I looked at him, and I looked down at his shoes.

I said, “What shoes are you wearing?”

And he said Nikes. Jordans, I think.

I said, “How much did those shoes cost you?”

He said $120.

I said, see? You don’t understand the rules of money.

Most people will gladly put money out for things like shoes that don’t do anything. There’s no upside to shoes. Obviously, you need them in the moment, but, they’re fixing something over here on the ladder. There’s no upside.

This book, most people aren’t going to put money out. They’re going to pull their money back and say hell no, I’m not spending 120 bucks on a book.

But that book was a book by Charlie Munger on everything he learned. He’s, I think, 92 years old, on becoming a billionaire. I said man, you’re thinking backwards.

You have to learn to be contrarian and go against the crowd.

The second principle is be careful of spending money on things that rust, rot and depreciate.

Going back to my friend with his shoes, the day he buys those shoes for 120 bucks and walks out of that store with them on, if he tries to resell them on Craigslist or EBay or whatever, what is he going to get for them? Maybe 20 bucks, maybe even if you could sell them.

So most people are putting money into things that rust, rot and depreciate.

They’re putting it into shoes, they’re putting it into electronics.

I read in the United States, you know, I think the number three or four thing people spend money on are electronic type stuff.

And I’m not against, you know, having a computer. Especially a computer could be good. But having a big flat screen TV, that’s great, but never be a fool. Understand that that’s a depreciating item. And you should have most of your assets, most of your money, in things that have the potential to have upside.

And so I learned this when I was, I don’t know, 19, 20 years old, this old guy, Dr. Gordon Hazzerly, one of the richest men in Mississippi, I was in his pickup truck and he was an old farmer and we were driving through.

And he said, Tai, look out there. You see all that land out there?

I said yeah.

He said well, every day I go to bed, I wake up, the land’s worth a little bit more. It appreciates. He said, you see all those cows out there eating the grass? He said, every day, the sun shines, the rain falls, grass grows and the cows eat that grass, and they get a little heavier. And he says, at the end of the year I take them down and I sell them by the pound. So every day those cows, the value is appreciating.

And he looked at me and he said Tai, never invest in things that rust, rot and depreciate, things that go down in value. And he told me, he said you know, the only things I have, Tai, that depreciate are this old pickup truck – we were in a super old pickup truck even though he was a millionaire – he said I got a hammer and a crowbar in the back.

And he said if the economy gets bad, I can sell the hammer. His point was, almost all of his net worth, almost all of his assets were in appreciating, were in things that appreciate.

So this is tied in to principle number one, when most people are putting money out, you should be pulling your money back in.

When you see your friends spending money on stuff, let them spend it on you. I read about this billionaire who came to America from Turkey. And he wanted to see if he could go three months without spending any money.

And so he went to Vegas, and of course all these casinos and people always wanted to take him out because he was this rich guy, and he said I didn’t pay for anything for three months. So he was a smart guy, not that you and I can always do that, but the concept was, when most people come on a trip, they’re spending tons of money.

He figured out a way to get it for free.

When I travel around the world, you know, you use your travel opportunities.

Sometimes when I was in New Zealand, I got a job working, and I saw more of New Zealand than every tourist, and I was getting paid to be there. So that’s a win-win situation.

So that brings me to number three, and there’s ten of these.

I’m going to do a talk, a free, live online talk if you want me to go through the full ten. These will change your life, I’m telling you. These are the tried and true principles of money that nobody teaches you in school, unfortunately.

Very little of this is talked about in college.

So if you want, I’ll put a little link here, maybe it’ll pop up somewhere on the video or below, there’s a link.

Click this.

There’s no credit card needed, no payment needed. It’ll pop you over to my website and you can reserve your spot. It’ll show you the time that the live talk, I’ve been doing these live talks, been testing them out for the last couple months and ten, fifteen thousand people show up.

So it’s cool, you can live, you can bring your questions, you can ask me.

But make sure you don’t procrastinate. If you want to learn these ten things, go ahead and click the button because it starts to fill up and stuff. And so you want to be one of the first people in.

OK. So this number three is you have to adopt the win-win mentality.

Very few people have this.

Most people have a scarcity mentality when it comes to money. Like I said, when I travel, or when I was broke and I had a little bit of money, just enough to buy a plane ticket, I started traveling around the world. I figured out this win-win when most people, most of my friends, it was a win-lose.

So they win in the sense that they got to travel the world and see new places, but their bank account lost. That’s a win-lose. You never, I mean you never want to lose-lose. That’s the worst of all scenarios. A win-lose is a little better, because there’s some redeeming value to the activity. But a win-win can be pulled off so much more often than people in scarcity mentality realize.

And you can do this as an entrepreneur. You can set up a business. Just think about somebody like Kobe Bryant, the basketball player, or Steve Jobs, or you name any of these people. They’re doing what they like to do, and people are paying. Kobe Bryant, the basketball player, or Meze or Reynaldo the soccer player, these guys are getting paid to do what they would do anyway.

In fact, Michael Jordan used to have a clause in his contract called the love of the game clause, which said I can play basketball whenever I want, because a lot of athletes, in the off season they don’t want them getting injured, so they can’t play. But he’s like no, he said I would do this even if I wasn’t making money.

And so you have to figure out financially how to move into that win-win scenario. There’s been times when I’ve been in lose-lose. That’s the worst, where I hate the job and my bank account’s going down. I’ve been in situations where it’s been win-lose. I’m making money but I don’t really enjoy what I’m doing.

And the ultimate, I call it level three activities, level three is all about like dude, I love this, and I’m getting paid. And if you can pull that off for the majority of your life, there’ll always be times when you’re not excited about life, you know, nobody likes every minute of their life. It’s OK to have variance.

There’s this principle of philosophy called the hedonic machine, which basically says would you want to always be happy at every moment? No. You need some contrast in your life. But the majority of your life, I’d say 85 percent of your life, should be spent in a win-win scenario. So you must find this socially, you must find this financially, you must find this career-wise, and so on and so forth.

It never ends, that win-win principle.

So these are three of them. I got seven more that are game changers.

These three kind of build up to the little more advanced seven ones, that’s why. I’m trying to keep this video under ten minutes. I know you got plenty to do.

But click the link here, go to my website, grab your free spot on my site.

Like I said, no credit cards needed. Just, it’ll show you the time in your local time zone, it’ll convert it. So wherever you are in the world, you can watch. We got people in seventy countries watching this stuff. So yeah, hundreds of millions of people have seen the videos.

But these live talks I keep smaller.

So bring your questions and let me know if you have any specific questions, write them out before you come. But really think hard on these first three. These first three are game changers. The last seven will really show you how to convert them practically and put them in, you know, these first three are kind of general, broad principles. Then you need some specifics. So I’ll show you some specific things that I’ve done, that I’ve seen people do, that completely revolutionize your financial situation.

You don’t want to be broke all the time.

It’s a nightmare. Trust me, financial pressure is responsible for a multitude of evil. Number one reason for divorce. Boom. Financial pressure, financial pressure. Number one reason people make stupid mistakes, compromise what they wish they would be doing.

Like Thoreau said, the mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation.

What’s called resignation is confirmed desperation. Number one reason people are in a state of confirmed desperation, they don’t have enough money to really get out there and experiment, travel, and switch what they’re doing.

So if you want to learn some stuff, I promise you this stuff is game changing. Click the link, I’ll see you on my free talk, and let’s talk about the ten rules of money. So California is starting to get cold, man. It’s chilly out here. But I like a little change in seasons.

So leave a comment, though, by the way.

What’s an example of something you invested in things that depreciate or things that have appreciated? Another question you can answer is, is your life currently in a win-win situation? Lose-lose situation? Or win-lose? Those three options, financially specifically.

Where do you think you’re at? OK? Leave a comment and explain why.

I like to read them, it’s interesting stuff.

So, ah, I almost got ten minutes. Ten minutes, ten seconds. Talk to you soon.

Click the link.

Should be below. See you on my site on the live talk.

You can do it on your phone or your computer.

OK?

Talk to you soon.

Alright. The biggest predictor of your success in almost any area is one thing. Persuasion, the ability to show people your perspective. And that’s whether you want to make a million dollars, whether you want to improve socially, you want a promotion at your job. So one of the things people as me a lot is like to speak on my perspective on marketing, sales, persuasion. So I thought I’d shoot it here in my house. A lot of people think this is a green screen, but it’s just a very bright, sunny day in Hollywood.

So the first thing that I always think about when it comes to million dollar marketing, million dollars persuasion, is these 25 cognitive biases. There’s about 25 things that make people decide anything, and it’s not what you think. There’s a good book called “Getting More” by this Wharton professor, and he says something very interesting. So let’s say you have an idea. You’re an entrepreneur or you’re going to be an entrepreneur. You got a new product you want to sell. You’re the next Bill Gates, the next Mark Zuckerberg. Well, I always say, if a tree falls in the middle of the woods, you know that old cliché? If tree falls in the middle of the woods, will anybody hear it? And I always say, who cares? Because if nobody hears and nobody knows about what you’re doing, you can have the most brilliant idea and it will just die, you know? And that happens all the time.

A lot of the products that you see out there at the store or online aren’t necessarily the best. Now ideally you can have a good quality product, a good quality service and at the same time be able to be good at marketing. And marketing, I don’t even like the word “marketing,” it’s really about persuasion.

So there’s these 25 biases. They’re called the 25 cognitive biases. I’m going to list out a few and how you can use them today to improve your marketing. And if you’re not an entrepreneur, you can still use this. You can use this to make people like you more. And I don’t mean that in like a cheesy way, but let’s say you need to network and meet a certain person who has access to something you need, whether it’s your boss, whether you’re in the entertainment industry and need to meet new people. It’s the same principle.

So this Wharton professor in “Getting More,” one of the interesting things he says is that 60 percent of what makes people decide anything, decide to listen to you, let’s just talk about how to win friends and influence people. Sixty percent is not what you think. It’s what they think of you as a person. It’s not even what you’re saying. It’s what they think of you as a person. Do they like you? People are fickle. Sometimes I get people saying ah, Tai, if you’re this business dude, why aren’t you dressed up super fancy for these talks? I’m like well, if you don’t like it, that’s OK. You don’t have to listen. I understand, though, that it’s a person thing, is the basis of all persuasion.

That’s why most big businesses, most awesome things are built around some figurehead. You know, you got a figurehead like Bill Gates, Steve Jobs for Apple, Zuckerberg. We all know these people’s names and we associate. That, by the way, of the 25 scientifically proven cognitive biases, this is called the association bias, the liking bias.

Now, what’s the other 30 percent? Now remember, what I just said is pretty crazy, if you think about it, what this Wharton professor found. By the way, his book, “Getting More,” and his class at Wharton is the most sought-after business class in the world. So the beauty of the internet is right now I’m showing you the same things you would learn if you got an MBA at the Harvard, Wharton, all that. So internet’s pretty crazy what you can get for free these days. I don’t know if I’m going to have to do all 25, but let me give you some of these now. And for those of you who want more, I’ll show you how you can, I’m going to give a talk on all of these. If you want to find out really in depth how to do this, I keep these videos a little bit short so that people, I know you got a lot to do.

So the other 30 percent of what makes marketing and persuasion work, what makes you be able to influence people, win friends, the other 30 percent is the process you use. So like the order that you present things. This is the strategy part. And notice this. And I’m rounding the numbers. It’s more like 57 percent or whatever. I’m just making, 10 percent is what. This is crazy. That means if you have an idea for the next fitness app, for the next supplement, for the next restaurant hotel concept, for doing real estate deals, what you’re selling is a minor part of what makes people decide. And this has implications. This is the stuff you don’t learn in high school, and most parents, you know, our parents didn’t know to teach us because they didn’t know this themselves. You got to learn this stuff. You want to make a million bucks? Or maybe you don’t care about money, you want to change the world? You know? You want to solve injustice, crime, poverty, homelessness, abuse? It all comes to your ability to persuade.

And so if you’re going in, see, most people do this completely opposite. They focus on the what they’re selling. In fact today a guy was texting me who wants me to invest in his app, and he’s like hey Tai, here’s what my app’s about, bambambam, but you know what? He hasn’t sold me yet. Because I’m an investor. People ask me what I do. I’m an investor. He hasn’t sold me yet on him as a person. He’s got to do a better job, it’s two of them, they’ve got to do a better job showing, if they want millions of bucks, they want me to invest money like that, I have to believe in them as a person. This is how our brain is set up.

There’s a professor I just interviewed named Joseph LeDoux, a professor at NYU. And he talks about how we have these parts of our brain that are very primitive. So whenever you’re selling and persuading people about your idea, whether it be investors or you know, somebody you want to date, what do they think of you? What’s the gut feeling they get? People operate on hunches, for good or bad.

Now the process with which you, so just think about this in like a dating context. What makes people want to go on a second date with you? OK, number one is are they attracted to you as a person? Number two is, how do you do the date? Like if your first date you propose to them, you get down on one knee, they’re going to be scared off because you seem desperate, right? So the process with which you go through the dating seduction, persuasion, whatever words you want to use.

What you actually talk about, what the date actually is, whether you go to Chinese food or Italian food, that’s not how people determine. Yet a lot of people fixate on the wrong things. Fixate on you as a person, the perception. There’s a good book by Heidi Halverson, and it talks about how basically how we perceive ourselves is only about 30 percent correlated, I think I have that right, with how other people see us. Meaning most of us are going through life with a blur. We’re like seeing ourselves as whatever, this amazing person. We see ourselves as better looking than we are, or maybe worse than we are, right? If we have self-esteem issues. You really have to be able to pinpoint and control, not in a manipulative way, but you have to be able to control the perception of the person that you’re talking to.

My neighbor decided to blow his, blow leaves while I’m talking.

Anyway, so a couple other things. So these are the different biases. The main thing to take away, people are not that logical. And you may have heard this before, but I’m telling you, this has mind blowing implications, because you’ve got to put it into practice. That’s why, for guys I always say, you know, Ryan Gosling, in this movie, he did this movie called “Only God Forgives.” And it’s such a Ryan Gosling movie. He doesn’t even talk in the movie the first like five or ten minutes. But women are still attracted to him because it’s the person and the process, it’s not about what he’s saying.

And so when you bring this back around to let’s say you want to build a million dollar company, same principle. What do people’s instinctual gut feeling, and by the way, that’s why Apple has now become the largest company in the world and surpassed Microsoft. People have iPhones much more than they have, or Apple products, because, now, Apple’s not a person, but I mean legally in the United States a corporation is a person, but it’s an entity. And people like Apple. Steve Jobs was the king of making Apple cool, making it like a, it was kind of this anti-technology yet still technological. Like Microsoft was like hardcore corporate, and Apply pulled off this coup business-wise, they’re now worth $700 billion valuation. I think it’s the largest valuation in the history of humans. Because Steve Jobs understood this.

Now what they’re selling is still a good product, so that’s why I said, you don’t want to be good at marketing and sell a crappy product. Like Charlie Munger says, you can’t polish a turd. So if you have something horrible and you just want to make a million bucks, I hope you won’t listen to this.

Now, I’ve just given you one of the angles. There are 25 more. I’m not going to get, how long have I been going here for?

About ten minutes.

So I’ll go a few more minutes. So, but I am going to do a free talk, an online talk. I’ve been doing this series of online talks. They fill up quick, and I’m not just saying that. They literally do. I crashed the servers the last three times I did it. So you should see a link below here. Click the link if you want to hear the full talk. And I’m going to talk on the full 25 techniques to master million dollar persuasion. So the other thing is, yeah, click the link, it’s free. You just register and it’ll hold your spot. If you wait too long, I’m telling you, it fills up. Last time we had to not let a whole bunch of people on. So click the link, it’s either above or below, whatever.

Now, some other, another one of these, OK? And I’m not going to flip the page because it’s very windy today. So I’m going to put a little number two here. The story. So if you study philosophy, real high level philosophy, there’s all these concepts, whether they be, you know, cosmological, whether it be epistemology, all these different kinds of fancy words. Ontology is one of them. And I’m going to break it down in layman’s terms. All humans, their brains are like a movie theater, and they are projecting a movie. And it’s their perceptions of life. So here’s one mistake you can make, and I’ve made this mistake. If you want to lose a lot of money real quick, I didn’t understand this, I lost $28 million over a few years in lost revenue from not understanding what I’m about to tell you.

And what it is, is that to move people and actually convince them is very difficult. In fact, most people that agree with you, when you think you’re good at persuading, they already agreed with you before. You know? Sometimes I get too big of a head and I get cocky and think I’m good at marketing, but what’s really happening in large part for all of us is that you’re finding the people who already kind of agree with you. And so if your idea is that you’re going to make such a good marketing angle, that all the people that hate, imagine if Steve Jobs goes everybody who hates cell phones, I’m going to market my iPhone to them. Forget it. You must market to the story that’s already in people’s heads, especially if you want to get the low hanging fruit and make money relatively quickly.

Now there is a time when, there’s a book written about this called “Crossing the Chasm,” where you’ll cross over and you’ll be able to reach what’s called the pragmatists, the conservatives. You do that later. At the beginning, to make your first million dollars company, you want to find the people that the story, the movie that’s already playing on the screen of their brain, is already aligned with what you do. And then all you have to do is show them how it’s aligned. So the concept of persuasion, a lot of times is you take somebody who’s over here and you show them why they should be over here. But what you want to do is take the person that’s already here and doesn’t realize you’re right next to them. So you use a little persuasion to be like, hey man, we’re already right here together. To move somebody from here to here takes so much money and so deep a pocket that unless you are backed by a large fund and you have 20 to 50 million dollars behind you, I wouldn’t do it.

You know the old saying? Don’t go where angels fear to tread. That’s where angels fear to tread. That’s where big companies fear to tread. By the way, the story, that’s why brands are created, because brands create their own story and then they align people through the 25 cognitive biases into their story. So that’s a more sophisticated way. I’ll be talking about that in this talk, so click the link if you want to get a little more sophisticated. But look, if you’re watching this, and I get people watching this at 18 years old, still teenagers, and they ask me, does this apply to me? I’m like, hell yeah. There is, all good advice applies pretty much at all age ranges. I don’t believe in age specific advice. I mean, if there was a Mac truck about to hit you and you were 60, wouldn’t you want the same advice as when you’re six years old? Get the hell out of the way. If you found out there was a treasure chest buried in the back of your house, would you want different advice when you’re 18 and when you’re 80? No, you want to get it as soon as you can. So I always tell people, today is the youngest day of the rest of your life, so you might as well start now.

So whether you learn to make any money, an employee, self-employed, young or old, male or female, learn this stuff. It has deep implications for not just for money situations, and not just building businesses, but this has implications for social life. It has implications, by the way, in persuading yourself. And so many people forget, the first person, you know, a lot of people, the average person who goes to a gym gets a membership, goes two times and then never goes back. Why? They don’t know how to persuade themselves. And if you know how to persuade yourself, that’s called self-motivation, which is, Peter Drucker, the great Harvard, well, he’s not a Harvard professor, Harvard prints his books, he says, what made Leonardo da Vinci great? What made Michelangelo great? They had the ability to manage themselves. And I would add, they had the ability to persuade themselves.

So nice sirens here in Hollywood. There’s always something crazy down on Sunset Boulevard. So yeah, oh good, the sun. It’s a warm day today.

So yeah, I want to keep going through these. These are two, there’s 23 more. I’ll never get through them in this little talk. But trust me, this is the stuff that people know me for, marketing. You may have never heard of me until recently, or maybe you’ve known my stuff for a while but now you’re watching it. Not because I’m so genius or anything like that, but because these marketing principles work. Now, like I said, make sure you’re marketing something good. My message to people is, the more you learn, the better your life gets. So this is all about knowledge. I call it the knowledge society. It’s the new world that’s being ushered in. It was predicted back in the 1960’s, that we’d move from an information age to the knowledge age. So for you, get knowledge inside your head, whether it be in books, a free video like you’re watching now, this free online talk that I’m going to be doing. If you click the links it’ll show you the time. It will adjust the time to your local hour no matter where you live in the world. So yeah, check it out.

Learn. The more you learn, the more you earn. That’s the advice from the richest man in the world to a six-year-old kid. And that advice applies to me even though I’m not six years old anymore. We’ll be talking about 25 biases, we’ll talk about million dollar persuasion. We’ll be talking about this person, process, the what. We’re talking about the story in people’s head. We’ll be talking about how to not manipulate but use this to push people into something they know they should already be doing. Just imagine if you have a gym, you own a gym. If you can be more persuasive, that means people are going to get healthier. Let’s say you have a bad ass health supplement or something, or like a restaurant with amazing food. You can’t just say I’m going to make something awesome and people are going to come. Those days are over. We live in a world where people get bombarded from two to seven thousand ads a day. It’s too many for people to process.

So go ahead and click the link here. Grab your spot. They fill up, because it’s free, so I’ll get ten thousand people at a time in forty countries trying to get in. So if you click and it says that it’s full, don’t worry, come back in another day. Sometimes I’ll do them again. So if you miss it, you click the link, it’ll say it’s full, just bookmark the page and come back in a week or a month and I’ll maybe do it again. I haven’t done this one really too often. So grab your spot while you’re seeing this, and also you can subscribe here and I’ll be talking about more of these.

So these are two strategies for million dollar persuasion. They seem basic, but all the good stuff is basic yet very sophisticated. You know, it’s basic to understand this. It’s sophisticated to be able to put it in process on a large scale. I’ve been lucky enough to test these principles on over, this year, I don’t know, two, three hundred million people. So I’m telling you from my own experience, telling you from experience, people who mentor me, who are much smarter and more experienced than me. So learn. Time to learn. Click the link and I’ll see you on the date and time that’s translated to your local time. OK? Talk to you soon.

Alright, the magic number, a million.

How can you get a million people to pay attention to whatever is your next big idea? Everybody’s got a big idea that I meet. And the problem is, like the saying goes, if a tree falls in the middle of the woods and there’s no one there to hear it, does it make a noise? And I always say, who cares? Right? So if you have the greatest idea in the world and nobody ever hears about it, you might as well, like Joel Salta, my first mentor said, better to do nothing for nothing than something for nothing. So you come up with this good idea and it’s all for nothing, it’s really a waste.

And most people don’t understand the psychological aspect of marketing. They say they do. They read a little book here, a little book there, but when it comes down to understanding heuristical patterns and understanding the 25 cognitive biases and really getting into those things, there’s 103 logical fallacies in the average person’s brain. So you add all that together, it’s all about studying and knowledge.

So I’m going to give you guys a few little hacks here. I’ve been putting out this video series, people text me a lot. So this year, using this stuff, I just checked some of the stats. We just passed a billion views, like a hundred million people watching stuff, watching these videos. So this stuff works, and I can tell you just straight off the Google Analytics counter that this stuff is the real deal.

So some of you want like more advanced stuff, because people are like oh, some of the stuff you say I’ve heard before. And my answer, if that’s you that says that kind of stuff, it’s not what you know, it’s what you do. So if you think you’re too smart, I’m just going to be like show me how you put it into action.

But for those of you who genuinely are already on your way, I’ll kind of show you some stuff that I think is more advanced. So we’ll call this one mil. You could also call it one billion if you’re really ambitious. How do you get a billion? And so I was alluding to this earlier. You got, let’s try to, I’ll draw like a little mind map, you know? So like here’s you. You’ve got the next big idea. You’ve got the next Snapchat, you’ve got the next Netflix. There’s a good book called “The Self-Made Billionaire” by this Cohen guy, and he calls it the blockbuster idea, so an idea that can break out, like Zuckerberg went from four people on the Facebook to then he dominated 60 percent of his school, Harvard. Then he jumped to all universities and he had about 60 percent market share, and then he went up to, now they just passed a billion customers and almost everybody, Facebook is like definitely an example of a blockbuster idea.

So here’s you now, and it’s like most people don’t understand that it’s this progression, but it’s not that linear, and that’s the problem. Like the progression that most people think, this, by the way, is the difference between a plan and a strategy. Most people don’t, most people have a plan at best, but they don’t have a strategy. I was just reading this book, “The Liberator,” by Kershaw, about General Felix. And these guys, he had 75,000 of his men killed in one battle in Italy, and this dude was a tough dude. And even though he had this high casualty rate, as we know, the Allies won the war, and it’s because the Allies had out-strategized Adolph Hitler. So Hitler and the Germans were good at strategy, but a plan is like linear. We’re going to take this, we’re going to do this, this and this. And the best laid plans of men, as the famous poem goes, you know? They don’t work out. So a strategy is like AB plans. This happens. If it doesn’t work, you move to this subset. You’ve got these reinforcements come in.

And I was talking about the real deal is not linear like this, where you go from your idea to a million people being your customer. If you’re an entrepreneur, if you’re an artist, maybe you want to have a million people download your single. Maybe you are somebody that’s breaking out a franchise idea, you’re a coach or a consultant, whatever it might be. Or, by the way, this is the progression if you have a 9 to 5 job and you want to get a raise, this is the progression up the chain if you’re what I call an intrepreneur. The entrepreneurs start new things, intrepreneurs work with them. You can make money both ways. Not everybody’s an entrepreneur.

So wherever you are, the real deal, it’s going to be more like branching. So heuristics is more this way. The real way humans decide things is a branching chain of events. And so good strategists are like chess players, you know? There’s trillions of permutations. And so whether it’s your business plan or understanding the psychology of how people decide things. I always say humans are smart and stupid at the same time. Let me not fall in my pool, that would be an interesting dealio. It’s a beautiful day today and sun in my eyes.

So when you look at this branching, so let’s say here’s you and here’s one million. Because like I said, it won’t happen this way. There’s a good book on this by, it’s called “Crossing the Chasm,” it’s a famous business book where he talks about how most people with ideas, you get a little bit of traction at the beginning and then it dies in this chasm where pragmatists. And most people are pragmatists. So let me show you what I mean by that.

So the first heuristical decision kind of branching, the average person who’s watching their stuff is going to decide by, is fear. So this is one that people know. Freudian type psychologists, you could call this pain. Now it branches here into a tremendous amount of things, you know? It could be reciprocity is one of these. Liking bias. These are the biases. You have Kantian fairness here. Some of these are more advanced, I’m not going to talk about all these right now. You have senescence bias. You have social proof, urgency, association, availability. And each of these branches are, if you can maneuver them, and I put 25 here, then there’s, if you really want to get ninja, which I don’t tend to do on a YouTube video because people need to ask me back and forth questions, if you really want to get ninja you then break this down. There’s 103 patterns. There’s things, logical fallacies like red herring and ad hominem and all these kinds of things, although ad hominem is related to that bias. So those are different. So if you add 103 plus 25 you have at least 120, 130, you could call them landmines. You could call them biases, whatever you want to call them.

So let me tackle the first and most important one. When you come up and hit up an investor, let’s say, let’s say you get on Shark Tank. My buddy’s here, and he was working with a guy just got on Shark Tank. I won’t say who it is. The show’s not out, so it’s confidential. But so you get one there. I don’t care if you’re working with Mark Cuban and billionaires. The default response of almost all humans is built into our DNA, which is a fear response. So we fear what we don’t know. And the reason brands, by the way, you know, you hear a lot about branding. This is like a buzz word. Coca-Cola, number one brand in the world. Disney, Playboy. These are nationally and internationally recognized brands. That’s a bullshit word, because what the hell does it mean? To me it means status, and what status does, so status is an overarching one on all of these.

So for example, there’s a scientist, I forget what his name was. He said, if the President of the United States, let’s say you’re married or you have a girlfriend. So you got your girlfriend in the house. President Obama rolls in. He says to you, and he comes in, I met Bill Clinton once, was at my friend’s house, not too far from where I live now in Beverly Hills. And Bill Clinton had, I think he had nine Secret Service guys. And underneath here they have Uzis and high powered machine guns. Actually an interesting side note, nothing to do with this. True story, Bill Clinton was, when he was the President was walking out of the White House and there was, it was like down a corridor where people are allowed to say hello to the President, the public. And he was going to get in his car and he had his Secret Service guy with him, and Bill Clinton whispered, he said to the Secret Service, he goes, “I can’t get in the car. Somebody’s grabbing me.” And he said his security guard, like a ninja, turned around and broke the guy’s arm that was grabbing the President and the President got away. So don’t fuck with the Secret Service dudes, they’re pretty bad ass.

So going back to this whole thing when I met Bill Clinton, I had a point to that but I got distracted. I’ll think of it in a second. Oh, the President comes into your house. Obama, Clinton, whoever your favorite president. And he says, “Get out and leave your wife here.” Now maybe you’re a bad ass dude and you’d be like, no way. Mark my words, you would get out of the house. Why? High status. Oh, Dr. David Buss, a friend of mine, he’s the one who.

So status is one way to overcome fear, because if a regular dude walks into your house and goes, get out and leave your girlfriend, what are you going to do? You’re probably going to smash him in the face, right? But status supersedes fear and pain. So branding is a powerful tool. And so the problem with branding, I’ll give you a little practical tip. Every newbie that I know starts with a logo. This is their big question, like oh dude, I just had some joker send me a thing, he wanted me to invest in his business and he’s like here’s my logo. And I automatically wrote him off. I wasn’t trying to be a dick, I didn’t say anything to him, but I’m going, this guy doesn’t get it. He thinks that the heuristical pattern is like logo, and then you proceed to the next step. No one cares about logos for the most part. Some of you are going to argue with me. So as Richard Dawkins, the famous scientist told me the other day, I was talking to him, he said, best advice he ever got, believe with evidence. Only believe with evidence.

So I’m going to give you evidence so you don’t have to believe what I’m saying, you can believe the evidence. Google this website: Berkshire Hathaway. OK? This name, right here. You might have or might not have heard this name. So just Google that name. It’ll come up, the first result, and click on their website and show me what their logo is. There’s no logo. It just says Berkshire Hathaway. Now you might say, who cares? I say, this is a $300B company, billion. That’s Warren Buffett’s company. That’s the parent company, the only thing bigger than this is Walmart and Apple. I don’t even think Amazon. $300 billion market cap. No logo. You know why? Because Warren Buffett has status. He doesn’t need a logo.

So a logo is something you need, I heard a guy talking about before the fight with Mayweather and Pacquiao, somebody was going, Mayweather is a bitch. And this was just, I saw it on some random website. And somebody’s like, why do you say that? And he goes, do you think Mike Tyson needed bodyguards to pick up his kids at elementary school? He was like no, he didn’t need that. Now I don’t think that’s true, but Mike Tyson had status, physically. Not many people are stupid enough to mess with Mike Tyson. And Berkshire Hathaway, that company doesn’t need a logo because they’re already overcome human propensity to fear.

There’s a famous Nobel Prize winning researcher who discovered this concept, OK? So he didn’t call it fear, obviously, but there is all kinds of things that people want to do. And you end up, by the way, sorry, my R, with adverse selection in life, which is a whole ‘nother conversation. But people are risk averse. This is Nobel Prize science 101. And so brands alleviate that.

Let’s say MacDonald’s. Crappiest food in the world. You ever seen “Supersize Me?” Right? The guy goes in, he tells his doctor, I’m going to each supersized MacDonald’s food every single day. What do you think the outcome? And the doctor does his blood test at the beginning and the doctor says, you know what? I think this is going to negatively affect your cholesterol a little bit, da da da, you won’t, but it’ll be OK. You can reverse it. If you watch the movie, Morgan Spurlock’s his name. A month into it, he goes back to his doctor. He’s been eating three times a day, supersized food. And the doctor comes out, it’s the funniest scene in the movie. And it’s all reality, it’s like not scripted. The doctor goes, you have to stop. You’re going to die. You have already done irreversible damage to your liver and all this. And so MacDonald’s, though, still sells billions and billions of burgers. You know why? Because they, it’s not just branding, it’s status.

Now let’s just take MacDonald’s, because I’m talking about it. What does the MacDonald’s sign say? Billions and billions served. And I’m not just picking on MacDonald’s. This goes for, there’s all kinds of crappy food. I’m not anti, I feel like one day MacDonald’s big corporate hitman is going to come for me. So let me spread the lack of love across Taco Bell, Burger King, Wendy’s and blah blah blah. So but billions and billions, that’s a psychological mind fuck on you. When you drive by that store and you see billions and billions, boom, what heuristic is that? Well, it’s right here, social proof. It’s also, so they’re showing, if billions of people have eaten it, then you shouldn’t be risk averse. So they move you down the chain, and they move you babababa. You can do all kinds of things. Remember MacDonald’s has the MacDonald’s House, which is the charity. What’s that? Kantian fairness. Emanuel Kant, one of the greatest philosophers centuries ago said that humans have an innate sense of fairness, which goes along with reciprocity. So you go, MacDonald’s, sure, 70 percent of kids are fat in the world, but MacDonald’s makes hospitals to treat them. So I guess that that makes up for getting them fat to start with. So that’s a reciprocity play and a liking play.

And you can move through all of these things. Like I said, I don’t have time, because I actually have to go in a second and I’ve got some guests here. Thank you for, they’re bored listening to me babble. But I’m going to do a talk, I decided to do one, and I’ll show you how you can move things down the chain in a lot more advanced way.

And maybe I’ll have time in that talk, so there should be a little link here above, below, click the link.

It’s a free talk, don’t worry. You can watch it on your good old, on your phone, on computer, you can watch it in forty different countries.

So if you have an idea, I’m going to go through some practical things, and I’ll also, this is the ninja stuff. And I definitely won’t have time to go through the 103, but I’ll do a few. It’s a live talk, so you can ask me questions. Last time it was interesting, we started blowing up my chat like it would take down my site because too many people were asking. And so we put on this third party like enterprise chat, and we blew that up. So we had to take that one off. So if you ask too many questions, so submit a smart question. Maybe rewatch this video and see something. I’ll take a handful of questions.

These ones I’ve never talked about, the logical fallacies. But man, if you break this down, listen. Most people are the bitch of their own brain. And it’s because not only do they get mind fucked by brands that are trying to push false status on them, but they also don’t understand these logical fallacies. If you don’t believe me, ask anybody you know. Ask them what ad hominem is. Ask them what a red herring argument. By the way, this is the problem in the school system. What’s the best thing a school could teach you to do? Not social studies. I remember social studies. It’s just like, what a waste. And here’s the, you know the problem with traffic? So this is L.A., this is Beverly Hills. The problem in traffic, economists say, is that if you’re driving and it takes you an extra fifteen minutes because the roads were laid out stupidly, OK? That wasted fifteen minutes of your time, but there’s 13 million people in L.A. times 15 million, you end up with an economy, everybody is like what’s wrong with the economy? I’m like, because we waste what we’ve been given. Seneca, the great stoic philosopher, said it’s not that we don’t have enough time in life, it’s just that we don’t use it right.

So think about school systems. Your education, I dropped out of college, maybe you went to college. Where the hell was this class? This is the class to have. There is nothing, if you have kids or you have employees, you get this down and they go literally from average status, and I’m not talking about just materialistic stuff. All this stuff is cool, you know? But remember, I’m still grounded. I grew up on a farm for ten years of my life. I lived for five years with bucket toilets, no electricity. So when people start saying oh, are you getting soft? Maybe I am, but I ain’t that soft. So for those of you, when I say status, what I’m going to be showing you is good, true status is, I was talking, some of you might have seen when I was talking to Tim Grover about his book, “Relentless.” And he has real status. Michael Jordan goes, the best trainer in the world. Kobe Bryant goes, the best, the best, the best. And it’s deserved status.

So I’m going to show you how to deserve more. As Charlie Monger says, who, by the way, is the business partner of Berkshire Hathaway, of Warren Buffett, he says to get what you want in life, you have to deserve what you want. The world is not yet a crazy enough place to reward a whole bunch of undeserving people. So this kind of stuff is how you deserve more. Like most people don’t even know who Emanuel Kant is. Maybe they have a vague recollection from Philosophy 101, if they got lucky. But the only reason you want to know who Kant is, in reality, unless you want to be just academic about it, is how can you utilize the great minds of all time? You know, people ask me why I read a book a day. Why I did a TEDX talk on that? I’m like well, I’ll put it better than I can put it. Will Smith.

Everybody knows who Will Smith is. By the way, he has real status. Billions of people have seen his movies. And somebody asked him, what do you need to do big things in life? He said two things. You have to be able to run and read. You have to be able to run because when your lungs are about to explode and you push through it anyway, he said that makes you a man or a woman. You can push through, and then you can push through in other situations. And he said you have to read, because a lot of smart people have done shit before you, and if you ignore them you’re too cocky. And by the way, one of the biggest biases, in fact, if you read the new book by, what was the head of the Federal Reserve for so long? Greenspan, Alan Greenspan’s new book. He says the number one bias of humans is over-optimism. So a lot of times I’ll do these free talks and people will be like, I don’t need to know that. Bullshit. Of course you need to know this. There’s not many people in the world that’ll ever share this with you, because there’s not that many people that know this. Because I’ve traveled to 51 countries trying to learn this from people, and I learn one or two from a mentor here and one or two, but people don’t pull them all together.

So if you want me to pull them all together, I’ll share with you. If you’re already doing some big things, you’re already making a million bucks or a hundred grand or you wish you had a million bucks but you’re broke now, I call those wanters and wishers. If you want to move from a wanter and wisher to somebody who actually does something, click the link and I’ll see you, it’ll translate into your local time, because we got people all over.

I quit putting the actual times because people are like, what is it in Albania, in Thailand?

So I’m like, click the link, we got these fancy things called computers that will figure out the time for you.

And then it’s free. The only thing I’ll ask for you, don’t show up not prepared.

I got to hang out with Arnold Schwarzenegger the other day at his movie premiere, the movie “Maggie,” and talked to him a little bit. And one of the things he said that cracks me up, he goes, because he still works out in Venice, right? He’s still a big dude. If you put your arm around Arnold, it’s still like a sheath of muscle, and he’s in his 60’s. And Arnold goes, you know, I see people working out at Gold’s Gym in Venice, and I see them texting. And I go, they ain’t never going to have muscles. He goes, you either work out or you text. You don’t do the same thing.

So when you click the link and you show up, either show up or you know, go like people’s pictures on Instagram.

Don’t try to do both, because this stuff’s too complicated. I already lose people when I have them in a room. I only really share this stuff with people who run companies for me. Over there today, I use my little outdoor porch sometimes as a, I bring all the, I call the chairman, the chairman’s little seat, and I had like fifteen of the people who run my different companies there. And this is the kind of stuff I talk about. So a little inside sneak peak into my life, my house.

But forget all this. This is not that important. What is important is moving through the chain. This, by the way, is heuristics. That’s how you decide everything.

So click the link and I got to run out.

Alright?

Talk to you, oh, eighteen minutes, just like a TEDX talk. Hitting it. They say this is the optimal time that people pay attention. So I’m going to quit while I’m ahead. You can subscribe to my channel too, if you want to not miss out on these.

But more importantly, click the link, show up.

If you don’t see the link, you can go to tailopez.com. There should be a link there too.

See? I’m not very good at branding, am I? I forgot to put my own domain name, tailopez. But you know what? Sometimes I say it’s good to make things hard to find, because then the only people who find it are the people who really are interested. So never sell yourself too short. Alright? Talk to you guys soon.

Is becoming a millionaire luck? Or is there a template for getting rich? That’s the question Tai answers in this video. While getting rich does require a little luck, there are several things you can do to make a fortunate online.
The first is knowing your VRIN score. VRIN stands for Value, Rare, Inimitability, and Non-substitution.
The second is having a high wealth index. This means you’re not spending more than you earn. It doesn’t matter if you make $50,000 or $500,000 a year, keeping the money you earn is what wealthy people do.
Third is stacking. You want to stack multiple trends — not just one. For example, Snapchat wasn’t just a social media app; it combined photos, messaging, and urgency with disappearing stories.
Fourth is being a Buddhist. Not in the religions sense, but more like do something that’s different, but still understandable for most people.
These secrets to making money are universal. You can use them anywhere.
Right now, the best way to use these rules to make money is by starting a social media marketing agency.

Alright.

Eleven secrets that millionaires know that everybody else in the world is clueless on. Let me reveal what those are for you. You know, I love books, good book, really good book, good book. All these books about, you know, how to make more money, financial freedom, wealth and all that. And one of the most common questions I get is like Tai, what is it? If you had a list like here, like I would put down 11 Secrets, what would they be? And I’ve thought through those long and hard. First time you make a million, it causes you to reflect. And you’ll go, what the heck happened? Was it luck?

You know, I was just reading a book, this book on the founding of Twitter. Was it luck? Is it some people have more access and know the right people? And there’s some truth to all of that, but for you and I, if you want to create true wealth, I think there are definite secrets that most people don’t know. And it’s not secrets in like a conspiracy theory, illuminati kind of ways. It’s just not stuff, think about back at your school, what you learned. You never learn the stuff that you really need to know. So let me try to lay out a few of them. I don’t know if I can write all eleven on the board here. I want to make a short video.

One. VRIN. That’s a term, VRIN. Your VRIN score. This is a huge predictor of your wealth. I mean, without a doubt, these are things, now I dropped out of college, but if you go to Harvard, if you get an MBA, you’ll learn about this. Now most people, though, in the world, maybe you’re like me. I was broke, sleeping on a couch, or you come from not a very nice place, you were born in, what do they call it? The lower class. I was born to a single mom, wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth. And this VRIN score is something that I didn’t learn for, until I was in my 20’s. But once I knew it, it made all the difference in the world. And so you got to know your VRIN score, which is basically Value, Rare, Inimitability, and Non-substitution. Now I don’t know if I’m going to explain all those, but I wanted to just give you the high level one, and then I’ll show you how you can learn all of them if you want to know.

Number two. There’s a wealth index. A guy did a very famous study and wrote a book called “The Millionaire Next Door” where he studied self-made millionaires across the United States. And his conclusion, one of his conclusions, was that you can look at people’s wealth index. So you basically take your age, alright? It’s a factor of your age, your net worth, meaning how much money you have in your bank account and all the things you own minus your debts, and it needs to be at a certain level of the ratio. OK? So it’s not an absolute number. So you can have a high wealth index even if you only have, make two thousand bucks a month, even if you only have five hundred bucks in a bank account. Wealth index is an index of how well you accumulate. And for example, he talks about in that book that doctors, who traditionally, I think the average doctor in America makes like $115,000 a year. So high income, OK, doctors, but doctors are notorious for having a low wealth index score for various reasons. One of them is when you’re a doctor, you got to kind of look like you’re a doctor, so they have a lot of expenses. So they have, their wealth index measures them, the average doctor, to have below average accumulation habits. So you’ve got to accumulate. It’s not how much you make, it’s how much you keep.

I got a friend who makes, who made $120 million last year. And he has a very high wealth index. He kept like $90 million. This is a young guy, like in his 30’s, who also is self-made. Didn’t inherit the money, didn’t have a trust fund, any of that stuff. So your wealth index. That’s eleven secrets millionaires know. Some millionaires don’t know it, but the good ones do.

Number three. I can go in a lot of different directions with this one, but stacking. The ability to stack trends. So I call this trend stacking or stacking the trends. So most people, you know, they go Tai, I’m going to do big things. Whether they’re musicians, entrepreneurs, movie, film makes, actors here in Hollywood. Like whatever the thing is, they’re like I got a good idea, and there’s a trend, and look, this is how I’m going to make a million dollars, how I’m going to make a billion dollars. But it’s not as simple as just taking one idea, because one simple trend, let’s say you catch a trend like social networks. That’s been a trend in the last five or ten years, right? Twitter, Snapchat, Facebook. Now you got new ones like Meerkat and you got Periscope and all these new, constantly evolving social networks. So for you to just have an idea of a social network, it’s only one trend. And you must stack multiple trends. So there’s a way to do this. I’ll show you how you can do this a little bit later, I’m not going to do this in this video, but it’s powerful, man.

And you look at somebody. I’ll give you an example, Snapchat. So Snapchat is not just one trend. Evan Spiegel, who is the youngest billionaire in history, OK, the youngest self-made, he made it before he was 23, he did not just go I’m going to make a social media app. Like social media apps, that’s not trend stacking. He tracked multiple trends. So he took like four. So one trend was obviously social networking. Another one was apps. The third one was selfies. See, that’s a trend. People forgot that selfies, you see selfies made fun of a lot, Kim Kardashian did a selfie book. I actually have it here somewhere. Selfie book. And people laugh at that, but I learned from my mentors, and by the way, that’s where I learned these secrets, I wasn’t born knowing these. My mentors are like no, don’t laugh at these things. You might not agree with everything, but pay attention. So you pay attention, and Evan Spiegel, who’s the founder of Snapchat, he paid attention to selfies. Then the fourth trend that he stacked was privacy. See, you don’t want to post all your pictures. See, Instagram was a three trend stack, but Snapchat took those three trends of selfie, social networking, apps, and added a fourth one, which was privacy. You could post a picture on Snapchat and boom, ten seconds later it disappeared. And that created tremendous wealth.

This one secret alone is not a secret of a millionaire. That’s a secret of billionaires. We can go to another level if we want to in this talk, but I figured I’d start with millionaires because that feels overwhelming. And even if you don’t want to be a millionaire, you still want to learn the principles of millionaires, even if you only want to be financially free and you know, make 75 grand a year and just live, have all your bills taken care of and not have that stress. Whatever your number is.

Now the fourth one is what I call nudist Buddhist. OK? I learned this one from Allan Nation. Excuse my horrible handwriting. That’s supposed to say nudist Buddhist. And Allan Nation, one of my mentors, he said Tai, you can’t be too ahead of your time. You can’t be perceived as too weird. He said look, if you have a friend and you pop in and say hey may, I’ve decided I’m a nudist. Your friend will be like, you know what? That’s a little weird, but you’re my friend, I’m going to give you that. And he said you can tell your other friends that you’re a Buddhist. And they’ll be like, ah, you know, I don’t know much about Buddhism, a little weird, but I’ll still be your friend. But he said you can’t be a nudist Buddhist, it’s too weird. And so a lot of people, many people have tried to do a big thing, a new idea, a new business, new patent, a new invention, and they’re ahead of their time or they present it in too weird of a way.

You know, the story of Groupon, which is another amazing story of people going rags to riches, the founders, I think it was three or four of them that started Groupon. They said that people had tried it before then, but it was perceived as too weird. And so Groupon had like these coupons, you get 90 percent off, whatever, haircuts and massages and all this stuff. Well, Groupon took it and packaged it up in such a way that a quote-unquote weird idea, virtual couponing, because very mainstream. So they didn’t violate the nudist Buddhist rule.

So these are four. There’s eleven, and each of these I could talk about for a long time. I don’t want to bore you with everything right now. But I will tell you, if you’re watching this, I’m going to do, I get asked about these and the other seven so much that I decided I was going to just dedicate a talk.

So there should be a link here somewhere where you can click above here, and it’s a little link, and you can register.

It’s a completely free talk, don’t worry, there’s no cost to it. And I’m going to explain each of these more in depth and the other seven. OK? Because I want to keep this video short. How long has this one been? Five minutes or something, or ten minutes? So I want to keep this one short, in this modern world people have ADD and maybe you’re watching this when you’re busy and you’ve got other things to do.

So if you click the link, it’ll give you a time you can register.

And it’s online, so you can be in any country in the world, if you have access to the internet you can watch this. So it’s my free talk explaining this, the eleven secrets that millionaires know revealed and how you can use them to create wealth and financial freedom.

Whether or not you want to be a millionaire, it’s for entrepreneurs, it’s for people who are like I was, you’re completely in the gutter, you could be you’ve got no, you’re in debt from college debt or credit card debt. I heard the average American’s like $240,000 in debt if you count mortgages. So there’s debt out there. These secrets work and I’m telling you, and these aren’t random secrets. You see these secrets being used by the smartest people in the world over and over. It’s just that this is the kind of stuff millionaires teach their kids, but if you’re like me and you weren’t the son or daughter of a millionaire, you didn’t have anyone to teach you this. So I went out, I’ve traveled, I’ve been to about fifty-plus countries trying to find mentors. I found five of them, and they’re the ones who taught me all this stuff.

So click the link either above or below, I can never tell where it’s going to be.

Click the link, it’ll take you to my website, and there’s a way to register.

It’s completely free. And then you’ll see the exact time. We’ll translate it into your time zone wherever you are in the world, and then just show up. You can watch it on your phone, you can watch it on your computer, and I’ll be going in depth.

And I’m telling you, these two right here, number one and number three, are so powerful I could literally just stop there. But the other ones are important, too. And when you blend them all together, they call that synergy and exponential effect. Like one of these you understand, it’ll have a good effect on your bottom line, your bank account. Two of them together, one plus one is more than two. That’s what synergy is, you know. These two together will not just double your understanding, they might triple it. And when you add eleven together, it’s mind blowing.

And so, this book right here, “The Self-Made Billionaire Effect,” it’s one of the most exhaustive and well done scientific studies of self-made billionaires, and it’s interesting. Their final conclusion in the book, I don’t want to spoil the book if you haven’t read it, it’s not my book, by the way, but is that they’ve isolated for luck, for access to resources, to being born in a better place, to being healthier, to what country you’re born in, and their conclusion is that it’s habits of the mind that made these people billionaires. Just like Arnold Schwarzenegger had like habits for his body to become one of the top bodybuilders in the world, there’s habits of the mind, and that’s as simple as what you know. Like Warren Buffett says and I always quote, the more you learn the more you earn.

So click the link here, show up, learn stuff. You will earn more.

It’s free, and so yeah, click the link and I will see you.

It’s on the talk, you can even ask me questions on the talk if you want to chat, there’s chat and stuff and you can ask while I’m talking.

So click the link, register, and we’ll be talking about eleven secrets that millionaires know revealed, and how you can use them in your life.

And that’ll change your life the day you watch it.

So these things, by the way, I forgot to add, last time I did one, the last two times I’ve done these, it has crashed the servers. Literally, I’m not making that up. Like we had to like change the architecture of our website to handle how many people come. So I kind of limit how many people can get on this. So make sure you don’t procrastinate.

Click the link.

It’s free. I tell people, any time you have a chance for something and it’s free, there’s no down side, do it immediately. So check it out. We’ll be talking on VRIN, wealth index, accumulation score, stacking multiple trends, nudist Buddhist and lots of other stuff, seven more things at the minimum. Alright?

So click the link and I will see you on my talk.

We’ll be talking all these in depth. Alright? Cool. Oh, and subscribe to my channel. I’m always supposed to add that. My video guys say to do that. Alright? Talk to you soon.
